How To Make the Cinnamon Rolls

Prepare the dough: Add the ingredients to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by your manufacturer. Typically, it's liquids first, then dry ingredients with yeast on top. Select the "dough" cycle and press start.

Make the filling: While the dough cycles, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Mix until well blended and set aside.

Assemble the rolls: Once the dough cycle is complete, gently remove the dough from the bread machine and place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 8x10 inches.

Spread the filling: Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough rectangle. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Cut into four equal strips.  Using a pizza wheel makes cutting the dough a breeze! Roll from the short end and place in a lightly greased 8x8 or 9x9-inch baking pan. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.

Bake the rolls: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Choose Your Frosting:
For Traditional Icing: While the rolls cool, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and drizzle over the warm rolls.

For Cream Cheese Frosting:
1. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no lumps!
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt until well combined.
4. Adjust the consistency of the frosting as needed. If it's too thick, add a teaspoon of milk at a time until you reach a desired spreading texture. If it's too thin, add a little more powdered sugar until it thickens.
5. Spread the frosting generously over your cooled cinnamon rolls. Enjoy!

So next time that cinnamon roll craving strikes, skip the store-bought stuff and embrace the lazy-licious magic of your bread machine. This recipe is the perfect excuse to kick back, relax, and let your kitchen appliance do the work. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for it!
