Crustless Taco Pie

This taco pie is a very easy, quick to prepare dinner made with ground beef, eggs, cheese, and packed with the southwest flavors you crave.

It is crustless which means it is more like a frittata than a pie.  You can serve it in tortillas if you choose, but it is very low-carb and keto-friendly served crustless.

I've made this taco pie using both prepared taco seasoning and my own southwest seasoning mix. I prefer it with the southwest seasoning mix.  I suggest you give it a try both ways to decide which you like best, too.

The Reasons You Will Love Crustless Taco Pie

The taco pie is filling and flavorful.  There's no blandness in this recipe.  Your family will not leave the table hungry.

This taco pie recipe is easy and quick.  You can whip up a crustless taco pie in 15 minutes and have it on the table in less than an hour.

The ingredients are easily accessible.  No fancy or exotic ingredients are included in this recipe.  You may already have everything you need.

Family members who are trying to slim down will appreciate that this dinner is low-carb and keto friendly.

Pro Tips for Taco Pie Success

Use a flavorful cheese.  I like extra sharp cheddar.

Shred your own cheese.  You want the cheese to melt well into the pie.  Use a box grater and you'll be done in a flash.

You can cook your taco pie in a pie plate but I suggest using a square 8" glass or ceramic baking dish for easy cutting and serving.

Don't overbake.  You don't want the eggs and cheese to get tough and rubbery.

Use a tasty seasoning mix.  Make your own southwest seasoning mix or choose a prepared taco mix you love.
