Labor Day Picnic Favorites

Can you believe Labor Day is just around the corner?  It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that summer will soon draw to a close.  Have you noticed the sun is setting a little earlier these days?  Yes, indeed.  That's one of the first signs for me that summer will soon be over.  Labor Day for many becomes the last hurrah for the summer.  It's a great day to bring family and friends together for good food and laughs.  Are you planning a Labor Day picnic?  Here are some suggestions for your picnic menu.

Tequila Lime Shrimp
Tequila Lime Shrimp is easy to prepare and quick to cook on the grill.  Skewer the shrimp and keep them chilled until 10 minutes before you are ready to grill.  Pour the marinade over them, cook and enjoy.

Roasted, Grilled Lemon and Onion Potatoes
These roasted, grilled potatoes should be first on the grill, cooking for approximately one hour.  You can then take them off the grill and keep them warm in your oven until the rest of the food is ready to eat.  These actually taste even better if they sit and wait a bit before your eat them.
