Using a bread machine to make dinner rolls makes perfect sense because it simplifies the entire process of bread making. The bread machine's dough cycle takes all of the manual labor out of mixing, kneading, and rising, allowing you to enjoy fresh, homemade dinner rolls without all the effort.

With a bread machine, all you have to do is add the ingredients, press a button, and let the machine do the work. This makes it easy for anyone to make delicious dinner rolls without having to spend hours in the kitchen. You'll love that a bread machine ensures consistent results every time, so you can be confident that your dinner rolls will turn out perfectly every time you use the machine.  My $10 guide, Bread Machine Success Without Guesswork, will help you, too.

Why You'll Love These Garlic Rolls with Parmesan Cheese

These rolls take garlic bread to the next level with a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese and a soft, pillowy texture.

They're also incredibly versatile and can be served with a wide variety of dishes. Whether you're making spaghetti or lasagna, or just need a quick snack, these rolls are the perfect accompaniment. I love them with soups, like this Meatball and Tortellini Soup.

The Ingredients You'll Need

Each ingredient plays an important role in the recipe.

The egg helps to add richness and moisture to the dough. while

The extra virgin olive oil adds flavor and helps to keep the rolls tender.

Granulated sugar adds a little sweetness and helps to feed the yeast.

Bread flour is used because it has a higher protein content than all-purpose flour, which helps to create a stronger, more elastic dough.

Finally, bread machine yeast is used because it's specifically formulated for use in bread machines and helps to ensure a perfect rise every time.

Basic Bread Machine Steps

To make these rolls, you'll need a bread machine with a dough cycle. Here's how to make the dough:

Add each of the ingredients to the bread machine in the order listed in the recipe.

Select the dough cycle and press start.

Once the dough cycle is complete, remove the dough from the bread machine and place it on a floured surface.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you freeze garlic rolls?

Yes, you can freeze these rolls. Once baked and cooled, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and then in foil or a plastic freezer bag. They can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. To reheat, simply unwrap the rolls and bake in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.

Are garlic rolls healthy?

While these rolls are undoubtedly delicious, they're not exactly health food. They're made with white flour, which is not as nutritious as whole wheat flour, and they contain cheese, which is high in fat. That being said, they're a tasty treat that can be enjoyed in moderation.

Can I make these cheesy garlic rolls from scratch?

If you don't have a bread machine, you can make these rolls by hand. Simply mix the ingredients together in a bowl, knead the dough by hand for about 10 minutes, let it rise, and then follow the same baking instructions as above.
