It's that time of year again.  The holiday season is kicking into full throttle.  If you are like me you are spending a significant amount of time these days thinking about holiday menus, making shopping lists, and planning your holiday preparation.

Have you decided what appetizers you will serve this Thanksgiving?  If not, I've assembled some Thanksgiving appetizer suggestions for you.

Roasted Tomato and Brie Bruschetta

Roasted Tomato and Brie Bruschetta

This roasted tomato and brie bruschetta is always a crowd-pleaser at Just One Donna gatherings. What's not to like about these tasty, two-bite personal pizzas? Make both the tomato topping and the toast rounds in advance. Then all you will have to do is assemble and heat for your party.

It is perfect for small gatherings. too.  That makes it just right for this year's scaled-back holiday celebrations. Quick, easy, and yummy!

Caramelized Onion Dip

Caramelized onion dip may seem old-fashioned, but you would never know it when you see how fast this dip disappears at every party.  You can make this dip several days in advance.  The dip actually intensifies the flavors when you do.  Just take your time when caramelizing the onions.  You want a deep, rich color that comes from patiently cooking the onions for about 45 minutes.

Double the recipe and freeze the extra to have on hand.  You'll be glad you did.

Chorizo Stuffed Dates with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce

Are you looking for an appetizer that is a little different?  This one will do it.  The sweet and savory combination of these tasty, Chorizo-stuffed little morsels will keep your guests coming back for more.

The roasted pepper sauce takes a little time to make but is definitely worth the effort.  Please don't skip the sauce.

This is a little more time-consuming to make, but if you want something a little fancy this year try these.

Slammin' Guacamole

Finally, if you will be watching football games all afternoon you'll want an old standby, like my guacamole.  This is my favorite guacamole recipe.  Do you like yours packed with heat?  Just add more jalapeno pepper and hot sauce.

Coffee and Dessert-A Perfect Pairing

Coffee and dessert go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly, night and day, or Thelma and Louise. I've teamed up with three blogging friends who love coffee and dessert as much as I do to bring you three of their favorite fall desserts to pair with three specialty coffee drinks I've made in the Ninja Coffee Bar System. I was very excited to receive this Ninja Coffee Bar System (Model CF092) to review.  I am by no means a coffee snob but I do like a good cup of coffee.  I also like a coffee maker that is easy to use and can be depended on to produce a consistent cup of coffee day in and day-out.  In the past few years, I have used a Keurig single-serving system, a French press, and a Cuisinart drip coffee maker. The Keurig is sitting on a shelf in my basement, the French press is on a high shelf in the kitchen and the Cuisinart sits in my beverage center waiting for me to return to it while I take the Ninja Coffee Bar System for a test drive.   I have...
