You Will Need

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Four boxes showing the ingredients in Marry Me Chicken.
    1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken  stock or broth
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ⅓ cup sun-dried tomatoes (oil-packed, chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season & Sear the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Make the Sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add chicken broth and scrape the pan. Stir in cream, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. Simmer the Chicken: Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Cover and simmer on low for 8–12 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F.
  4. Garnish & Serve: Top with fresh herbs and serve over pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice. Don’t forget crusty bread to soak up the sauce!

Marry Me Chicken

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the pan to release any browned bits.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Cover and simmer on low for 8–12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  6. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot over pasta, mashed potatoes, rice, or with crusty bread.
