Mad Hungry and Me

Are you familiar with Lucinda Scala Quinn who wrote a cookbook titled Mad Hungry: Feeding Men and Boys

Lucinda hosts a daily cooking show on the Hallmark Channel and a blog by the same name.  She is a delight to watch.  If you are a home cook, like me, you'll really like watching her. Her recipes are direct and uncomplicated and her approach to cooking is realistic.   If you are a mom, you'll like how she brings her sons into the kitchen to cook along with her.  As a mom you'll appreciate her gentle coaching as her sons do something not exactly the way mom would do it.  It makes me smile.

I've been watching the show since is debuted last fall and when I can't watch I record it on TIVO.  Lucinda makes for good company when I can't sleep at 3:00 A.M., if you know what I mean!

I'm a follower of her blog and Facebook page as well, and last month she sent out a message asking for quick weeknight meal suggestions.  I had just posted my recipe for Stove Top Shrimp and Pasta, a recipe I make nearly once a week.  It is quick, easy and very delicious.   It is a recipe anyone can make on a week night and is delicious enough to serve if some friends will be dropping by.

My Stove Top Shrimp And Pasta
Well, to make this long story short, I submitted the recipe for consideration.  It was one of 30 recipes highlighted on her blog recently as quick and easy week night meals.

See it?  There it is!  It is #26 out of the thirty recipe pictures.  Click the Mad Hungry link to see all of the wonderful recipes that were submitted.

Want to make Stove Top Shrimp and Pasta?  You'll be happy you did!

Enjoy!

  3. If I eat shrimp, I have to go to the emergency room. But I still love your blog; I just stay away from the devil shrimp!
